The Farm Shop rebrand

When Jenny Colgan took over organic fruit and veg shop The Old Granary in Linton she had a clear idea of how she wanted to rebrand the business. Jenny centred the shop around sustainable living and wanted her logo to include a bee, because without them, there would be no produce. She also opted for a monochrome design, in keeping with other local shops. The overall brand identity needed to be clean and simple, as a nod to Jenny’s Swedish heritage.

We collaborated closely with Jenny and created a simple but distinctive logo focused on an anatomical bee. We also designed business cards, the shop sign, cotton aprons for staff, their website and social media graphics. This suite of collateral consistently and professionally convey the clean fresh look The Old Granary needed for their rebrand and launch.

The shop reopened as The Farm Shop At The Old Granary in December 2017 and continues to go from strength to strength. We are very proud to have been involved from the start.

“When I took over the organic fruit and vegetable shop, it was important to me to rebrand and put my own stamp on it. I wanted it to look clean, sleek and classy, to let the colourful fruit and veg do the talking without too much distraction.

I chose to use a bee for my logo to highlight the importance of the connection between the bees and the produce I was selling.

When I contacted Arnott Design it was primarily to help me with the design of the new logo.

Her perception and understanding for what I needed and had envisioned was spot on. She designed a lovely monochrome anatomical bee, exactly what I wanted! I was so impressed with her creativity and professionalism, that I soon had her designing my shop sign, business cards, aprons and website too.

I really could not recommend Karen highly enough.

She helped me to transform my vision for the brand – and she still does as new projects comes along. She is part of the team that makes our business successful and I hope it will stay like that for a long time.”
